Started by a few alums of the a great deal-lauded Masa,  Nami Nori, a Japanese restaurant in NYC’s West Village, has a laid-back but design and style-minded, Scandi-Japanese vibe.  Nami Nori is the trio’s attempt to be more inclusive with out sacrificing top quality (at Masa, the only 3-Michelin-star sushi cafe in the place, omakase expenditures $595 for each human being).

This interprets to a much more casual menu (solely gluten-free) that focuses on temaki hand rolls reimagined as “tacos”—as perfectly as a a lot more everyday atmosphere. The interiors, by MN Style Professional Company, are light-weight and vivid, encouraged by “both fashionable seaside residences and standard Japanese residences,”  and counter dining dominates the 1,000-sq.-foot area.
